Marubeni iPad Guide
Apple ID
Create your own Apple ID using an email and password combination that you remember (can use company email).
Applications
User can install and use any application, however, some applications are restricted.
HELPDESK cannot support non-Marubeni applications (these are applications outside of Company Portal).
You don't need to get an approval from SYPL team on installation..
Other Restrictions
You should wait to update iPad OS, until you are recommended to update.
Some file sharing functions are disabled (e.g.. AirDrop).
Please do not remove SIM card from the device.
Lost or Stolen
If your iPad is lost or stolen, please take below actions immediately.
Check location of the iPad from the website (https://www.icloud.com/#find). You’ll need to login with the Apple ID created at initial setup.
Please complete remote wipe following the steps here
Please notify your Manager and HELPDESK. Please also report the status of the remote wipe (if it completed successfully or not).
If you lose your iPad, please allow up to 2 weeks to receive the replacement. The cost incurred for replacing the device (which is around $800) will be charged to your team.
Cost information
If you are using Cellular plan, your team will be charged around $30/month.
Return
The company iPad is Marubeni's asset. You have to return the device when you leave the company.
Before it is returned, please completely wipe the device, by following the steps here
After that, please return the device to SYPL Department, including accessories (AC adapter and cable).
Even if you already have a successor, you should hand the iPad back to SYPL.
