I do NOt see a difference between Standard and Pro in the table, except the price.

For readability, this page only addresses what most commonly concerned about, which shows Standard DC is sufficient for most users. Please refer to the THIS PAGE for the official full comparison between Standard and Pro. See the section for Acrobat Pro DC or Acrobat Standard DC.

What does “General Edit” mean, and how is it different from “Insert Text” in the table above?

Reader generally does not allow you to edit the predetermined content of any pdf. The only kind of editing you can do on the free Reader is “paste additional text on top” by using the [Comment]-[Text Box] feature to fill in forms, or add signatures/stamps, which is described further below in this page.

Can I keep Adobe Acrobat 2015, Adobe Acrobat XI, or other older Acrobats?

No. Marubeni Corporation does not allow the continuous usage of end-of-support/end-of-life applications. Marubeni Corporation also requests to consolidate and manage Adobe licenses for license audit purposes. Any outdated versions must be uninstalled and replaced by supported version by purchasing a new license if necessary.

My Adobe Acrobat is named “Adobe Acrobat Standard DC”. Why am I getting a notice to buy a new license?

Please check [Help]-[About Adobe Acrobat Standard DC]. If you see the year 2015 in your title, then the version you have is outdated and need to purchase a new license for supported version.

Explain the overall process of buying license for Adobe AcrobaT.

  1. Submit an eProcurement request for the desired product from THIS PAGE. (same as TREX/eWorkflow login)

  2. HELPDESK will assign the license upon approval.

  3. Automated invitation emails will be sent from Adobe when the license assignment is complete, usually within 2-3 business days of the submission. HELPDESK will send a notification about the invitation soon after license assignment.

  4. The users should notify HELPDESK of when they can close all files, potentially restart their PC/VM and provide 30 minutes for installation.

Explain HOW THIS WILL BE CHARGED.

Your unit will be charged in US dollars and price conversion will be done based on the TTM as of April 1st each year.

What happens when I change my PC/VDI?

You do not have to get a new license, but you may need to deactivate the software on your Adobe account page, and you will definitely need to install the software to your new PC/VDI.

I use Adobe Acrobat 2017. Do I have to switch over to the Adobe Acrobat provided by Tokyo?

Yes. The end of life for Adobe Acrobat 2017 is 6/6/2022.

I use Nuance PDF Converter, Bluebeam or other PDF software, or heard that other PDF apps are better. Do I have to switch over to or use the Adobe Acrobat provided by Tokyo?

No. However, HELPDESK only provides best-effort support for non-standard apps, and so you may need to contact the software support itself on your own if any issues arise.

Do I have to renew my license for Tokyo’s Adobe Acrobat?

No. You only need to submit a cancellation when it is not necessary anymore.

What is my Adobe ID and password?

Users who use the Tokyo license can use their <VM login ID>@jpn.marubeni.com and VM passwords. Other users should have set their ID up on their own, and so HELPDESK would have no information. Such users should reset their ID as written HERE.
